She really didn't have to do anything about it. He was use to dealing with people that didn't trust him. It wasn't like it was going to hurt his feelings or something. "Because they were supposed to be allies and turned sides." It's a simple statement, because he understands.
His fingers worked slowly but surely over her back, kneading out the knots as he came across them. She'd been fighting, and not healing herself, so there were plenty to work out. "She's a fighter. I'm sure she's been in situations just as, if not more dangerous. And she can't fight if she's watching out for you." He knew that was part of Sarah telling Caryn to run. You can't defend yourself and someone else and attack at the same time, not successfully anyway. His fingers paused briefly at her little revelation to him, the only sign that the information shocked him. But the fingers picked up quickly enough. "You have to do what's right by you. If you don't feel safe, then you shouldn't stay. And they shouldn't begrudge you for it." There's a quiet pause, long enough that it seems like he's done talking. And yet, "And no I wouldn't kill you without a good reason. I may not like most mortals, but I don't kill without a reason." The reason may only lie in his head at times, but there's usually a reason none the less.
