He couldn't help but smile as he watched Susan circle the console, turning knobs and petting the ship like the old friend that she was. The smile quickly faded as the next wave hit and he found himself bracing for a crash, his hands clasped behind his head as he leaned forward and waited for the worst. As soon as the shuddering stopped he looked back up to check that Susan was still standing which, miraculously, she was.
"Okay, okay... something will work..." he agreed, practically crawling toward the console to help her out despite her orders that he stayed still. There was only so much they could do while stuck in the one place. "Would she let us do a Time Safety Jump?" he suggested. It was highly unlikely considering he'd been unable to get her to shift even a metre a few days earlier, but at this stage anything was worth a try. "Where's the emergency override thing?" he muttered, getting onto his knees to see the top of the console causing him to squeeze his eyes shut for a moment to stop the room spinning; he wasn't going to let a stupid headache endanger them any further.
