Katara just glared at him as he screamed back at her, refusing to even listen to anything he was saying. Lies, they were all lies. He'd known that crossbow was going to hit her in the face and would probably laugh at her stupidity the second her back was turned. So she just stood there, glaring angrily at him, until he stomped off. Once he did, she gingerly wiped at her nose and gave it a small wiggle, hissing at the pain the movement caused. She couldn't tell if it was broken or not, but it sure hurt like hell.
At his return she dropped her hand away from her face and resumed her defensive stance and glare. She grabbed the handkerchief out of impulse, staring down at it for a minute before balling it up in her fist. Bringing her free hand up, water covering her palm, she held it to her nose for a moment and felt the instant relief as the water began to heal the injury. Within a few seconds the pain had all but faded. Using the handkerchief to wipe the blood away, she finally spoke to Zuko.
"You're wrong," she said in a voice that was eerily quiet. "This is about you." Her blue gaze met his golden one.
"I trusted you in Ba Sing Se and Aang almost paid for that mistake with his life. I trusted you again when we first arrived here and you left me to fend for myself, which almost cost me my life. I'm not going to fall for your tricks again. I'm not going to trust you, I'm not going to like you, and I'm never going to forgive you for the things you and your nation have done to our world." Her eyes narrowed slightly.
"You may have Cordelia and Angel fooled, Zuko, but not me. I've seen the real you and I know that sooner or later you're going to slip up and anyone foolish enough to have trusted you is going to die because of it. That isn't going to be me, not again. So stop trying and just leave. Me. Alone."
