She had replied with a curt, "You're welcome," before re-focusing her attention on the computer. Getting lost in what she was doing, she didn't realize Zuko had come up to the desk until he spoke. She startled slightly then snapped her gaze in his direction, glaring at him. He'd done that on purpose, she just knew he had.
The fingers on her right hand clenched into a fist as she scowled up at him for a moment, trying to remind herself they were supposed to be on the same side of things. Once she thought she had her temper as much in control as she was capable of getting it, she replied with a slow, "You expect me to let you use weapons around me, now?"
Her tone was one that clearly spoke volumes of what she thought of that idea. And the fact that Angel had been the one to suggest it? Didn't give her much faith in the vampire, either.
Still, she could see his point. Water wasn't always a viable mean of defense, as much as she hated to admit it, and hadn't she once upon a time complained about not being able to learn to use weapons as Sokka had? Hadn't she bemoaned the unfairness of that simple fact? This was the perfect opportunity for her to... expand her horizons, so to speak. Even if Zuko was the one who was going to teach her. Although she also had her own job to do, and turned to the computer again only to discover the program was running fine on its own.
With a heavy sigh, she saved her progress and stood up. "If you try to attack me..." Katara warned, leaving the rest of the sentence hanging. She wasn't sure quite what she'd do, but she could guarantee it wouldn't be anything he'd like.
