There were a lot of things Eve couldn’t make sense of but she knew better than to doubt the only person who came close to being a mother figure in her world, a small smile from the ‘dream’ slipping onto her face. There had to be a way to stop the bad people, despite the severe lack of knowledge she had about it, Ivy knew what was best.
Wiping under her eyes with a partially dirty shirt sleeve, as she tried to quell the last sliver of worry from her thoughts, Eve took note of Ivy’s warning, and comforting smile that told her things would be ok.
Nodding, Eve stepped forward; her mitochondria assuring the memory of events just passed would soon become seemingly distant, an errant thought, the youngster looked up in childish curiosity.
