Eve barely hid the surprise on her face. Her mouth hung open with an answered question as she cocked her head to the side, wondering how this had all come about.
“I can make it…change… grow… control it…” she admitted quasi reluctantly, still in throes of confusion.
The being, this creature had already been ‘activated’ It was alive, in a sense, even if it didn’t have real emotions. She could feel its mitochondria, tainted, but reacting to herself in a way she could discern. Reaching out to touch her clone a small ark of yellow light crackled between the two. The ‘other’ greener Eve began to mutate, large bulbous branches sprouting from her legs, and just as quickly, snapping off, forming small masses of organic flesh.
“It’s easy to create… duplicate… but once they are… they… become… problematic… they want to serve their own purpose. Don’t work together…” She paused, peering down at the creatures, creating a cellular domino effect – whereby each blob sizzled into nothing but the same orange liquid Ivy’s attack plant had amounted to. It was then the words of Bowman’s lectures flooded into her consciousness. Ivy had known about her, inner self; could she too have been from Neo Ark?
