The sales woman went through rows and rows of clothing, coming up with dresses, skirts, and blouses that would suit Giselle. She even found a few pairs of stylish but practical sandals and shoes. There was a whirlwind of activity at the dressing rooms, as she pressed one outfit after another at Giselle, until there was a decent-sized pile of clothes that the woman tucked over one arm.
"Just put on that last dress for now, dearie," she said. "And the shoes I left. Your coat is hanging here, just outside the door. I'll go and ring up the rest, and let your young man know you're coming along."
The woman bustled her way back to the counter. Peter saw her, and moved closer, staring at the mountain of purchases. "That's all for one person?"
The sales woman smiled. "What can I say, doll? She's a great shopper."
"Should have guessed this place was on commission." Peter forked over a thick stack of bills. He'd have to hit another ATM after this. At least some of the purchases looked sensible.
