When she told him to move away he did. A few steps back and the door was flung open. Any cry of warning was stopped when the snake was suddenly frozen solid.
Stepping around the ice block his hand went out to her elbow and he nodded. "I figured that much." he said and glanced back at the snake. "It wouldn't talk to me." he said and moved her out into the hall. "It understood me it just refused to listen to anything I said." he told her as he glanced around and led her down the hall. He paused mid-step and looked at her. "Are you alright?" he asked, firmly gripping her elbow. "What can I do to help?" he asked.
