Katara's stomach felt like it dropped clear to her toes at his statement. She had been counting on Dar to provide them with some answers that only the snakes would know. Clearly, though, that wasn't going to happen.
Then she realized what else he'd said and realization dawned on her. There was a snake in the room with him. Eyes narrowing, she shouted back through the door, "Dar, I want you to get away from the door. I'm coming in!"
And without any further warning, she grabbed the doorknob, flung open the door, and stepped inside. Instantly she spotted the snake - mostly because it decided to lunge the second she was in its sight - just as Katara hoped it would.
Dropping a large burst of water on it, she instantly froze the liquid. The snake stopped moving and she sighed softly in relief before looking around for Dar. Spotting him, she said immediately, "Come on, we have to get out of here. The entire hotel is under attack."
