Who: Buffy and the Black Ops Team What: Adding another Slayer When: Early afternoon Where: Several blocks from the Hyperion Rating: R, Violence Status: Complete Note: Canonly, Buffy is capable of taking out a squad of miliary men, so there's going to be more of them, and it's going to be messy. If your character can do this to, it can be played out. Also, Buffy's Scythe was left behind in a cemetary she freaquents, if someone wants to find that.
They probably thought they were being very sneaky, and really, for anyone else they were. But Buffy had been aware someone was stalking her for most of the day. So that ruled out vampires and most non human looking demons. Unless they were working for vampires or not human looking demons. Either way, she hadn't been able to pin point who it was. She just knew it was happening.
All of the kidnappings had been happening at night, so she had gone out during the day to see if she could find anything while the sun was shining. Nothing much had come up. It was just the same thing over and over. People and demons were going missing. No one knew how, or when, or what was behind it, no one had any ideas as to where they were going.
The information didn't leave Buffy happy. But the fact that she was being followed now made her both worry, and be somewhat happy. Maybe she could take these guys out. Or maybe she was just screwed now. Either way she was about to find out.
Stopping on the sidewalk, she turned to look behind her, of course not seeing anyone all to strange. This was LA, many people were strange. The smallest of smiles came over her face, before she broke out into a run, ducking right into a graveyard. They'd follow her there. She was past a few dozen graves when she heard the running. They were trying to keep up with her.
Buffy ducked behind a tomb, and waited. The footsteps slowed. Cat and mouse time. He was going around the other side. Buffy crept to meet him, and when he was just at the edge, she lunged, knocking is gun out of the air and slamming her elbow into his face, splattering blood onto the tomb. She was against gun usage, but she'd make an exception. The gun was taken, and she spun and fired, just as another guy was coming up behind her a few yard away.
The dart hit. She spun again, driving the blunt end of the weapon into the gut of a man carrying an actual gun. More movement behind her. She grabbed the man she'd just hit and turned to the left, using him as a shield just as bolts of electricity hit the mans chest.
Now those looked familiar. She would say the Initiative had come back to play. But capturing Slayers and witches didn't really seem to be their thing. Dangerous demons only. Unless they upped their games and went more crazy than they already were.
Another approached from behind, and Buffy ducked the dark, and the leaped at him. She had him on the ground in a few seconds. With a twist of her hands, she heard a snap as she broke his arm. He didn't scream. Too well trained.
The fight continued, thirty seconds later she over a dozen men on the ground. But then she heard several clicking noises. She was surrounded.
"Drop the gun." Sighing, Buffy rolled her eyes, and dropped the weapon, before turning, hands up to look at the man who had spoke. She had seen him just outside of a bar earlier that day.
"Five more of you. And I took out fifteen. I think this means I'm better than each of you." she pointed out. None of them smiled, figured. They were cheating too. Staying at a distance, holding her at gun point. That wasn't how you played in this world. They were so going to get it.
Her eyes went wide when two men raised their guns. One fired, and a dart hit her in the chest. She felt drowsy instantly, but she pulled it out, and took a few steps toward them, glaring. They fired again. Dart two. Five seconds later the slayer was out, her last thoughts being on how she would remember all their faces, and break them later.
At least none of them had noticed the shiny red weapon up against the tomb doors, hidden by some overgrown ivy.
