She kept her eyes straight ahead, trying to not let his reaction bother her. It wasn't that she didn't need his help, she just liked being a little more independent now she was here. Women could do so much more in this place than they ever could in Nottingham and she wanted to take advantage of this.
She glanced up at him when they got closer to the building before looking away. Soon they were at the door that would take them into the little hallway and the stairs to take her to where she was staying. It wasn't incredible, but it was nice enough and one of the women she worked with had given her a lot of things for it. She said she was going to through them out anyway, so she might as well give them to someone who needed them. Once she got to the door, she juggled with the bags, opening the small one that was over her shoulder to get her keys.
