Left to his own devices, with Lord Vader in the same room, Luke couldn't help but feel a little tired and overwhelmed. But that was only until he caught sight of all the strange equipment around the flat. Admittedly, the biggest one (something he would learn later was called a television, but which he insisted on dubbing the 'vid) grabbed his attention first, and with barely a glance toward Lord Vader to make sure he wasn't going to get upset, Luke settled down to study it. He didn't have any tools with him, of course, but that was okay---Luke was good at improvising, and he tended to keep odds and ends on himself at all times.
A stray bit of wire pulled out of the wrappings on his legs was bent into a sort of screwdriver, and Luke had the front of the vid happily disabled in just a few minutes. He was playing with the wires when he seemed to remember that he was still wearing Lord Vader's coat, and upon the realisation, he hastily scrambled out of it, hopping up to go offer it back to the man.
"Sorry!" he exclaimed breathlessly, still a little overwhelmed by being around him, and slowly relaxing now that he had something to tinker with. "I forgot I was wearin' it." And then he was scurrying back to the vid, eyes flickering briefly in the direction his mother had left, hoping rather belatedly that she wouldn't mind him disassembling her stuff. He'd put it back together!
