"More magic?" the Doctor asked, a little insulted apparently. "When did I first use... oh, you mean the screwdriver?" he asked, shaking his head a little. "That wasn't magic, I told you, it was a sonic device. And this is not magic either! It's basic science!" he insisted, moving to the control panel to pull a lever that would double-lock the doors from the inside, making an entrance by the vampires practically impossible.
"It's Dimensionally Transcendental. That is to say, the interior is a quasi-dimensional continuum located outside of Time," he went on with a patronising tone in his voice, as if his comment about 'basic science' wasn't completely ludicrous. The Doctor frowned slightly. "Attack me? Well... I wouldn't call that attacking really, would you? A little aggressive maybe," he mused thoughtfully. "Anyway, like I said, I asked for it. I'm curious to find out what type of vampire they are, they're not a variety I've encountered before and it might explain something behind this whole eclipse and storm situation," he explained, realising that he certainly did talk too much.
"It's a TARDIS, that is, Time and Relative Dimension in Space," he responded, realising that wasn't exactly going to shed any light on the matter. "It's my spaceship and time machine," he tried, dumbing it down a little. "Or rather, it was, until this city sucked the life out of it or something. So now, it's just my ridiculously large home!"
