"Unless you're Faith." she finished for her, walking over to the basin of holy water and looking into it. "That's what you were going to say, right?" not that she couldn't see why. "Not necissarily true. I've seen a few people." Spike, Angel, Faith of course. All were big bads, all sought redemption. But Faith was the biggest. The most dramatic story. Maybe because she was never supposed to be a big bad. Maybe because she didn't have the excuse of not having a soul.
But the connection as to why it was Faith wasn't lost to her.
"They?" she asked, looking around. Was there someone else? And then it hit her, "You were seeing someone." she said, with an 'oh, now I get it' tone. "Like the rest of us. Just people from your past?" or things, whatever it was that was from her past. "From what I understand, it's considered a bad idea to listen to things that aren't really there."
But then again just because her own ghosts hadn't really caused her to do much of anything didn't mean they didn't have her thinking. "Guess it makes sense in a way. But from what I've been told the real redemption place is in some other country and it probably hurts a hell of a lot more." where ever Spike had gone to get his soul back. "Burning your hands isn't going to do anything but cause you pain, and possibly confuse people who find you." she added with a hint of a smile that lasted only a second.
