"It's called a light switch," Katara answered in a voice tinged with amusement. She'd forgotten how strange these very same things had seemed to her when she'd first arrived in L.A. It was refreshing, almost, to see how far she'd come in these past few months. "It's run by something called e..." Her brow furrowed and she paused, before remembering the word. "Electricity! That's it! I don't understand how it works, but..."
As though just realizing he was still flipping the lights on and off, Katara crossed to him and reached toward the light switch. Gently, she placed her hand over his and said, "You probably shouldn't do that. I don't know how easy these lights are to break." She smiled as she said it, not wanting to rebuke him but rather inform.
