Her surprise stunned him and he stepped forward a little thinking that something might be wrong. When he realized what she was referring to, he just nodded. "It's not something I would wish for anyone to go through." he said quietly.
"Yes. My father was a Beastmaster. Given his abilities by Curupira. We-I can speak to the animals and when they want to, they speak to me." he said then noticed the change in her. She seemed to go through a lot of them. Women were one thing Dar would never understand. When her eyes hardened he stepped back a little preparing himself for anything.
Glancing down at his pouch he furrowed his brows then chuckled a bit. Lifting his head, he smiled. "Nothing that would harm you." he said. Turning his upper body slightly, he reached a hand in and pulled out Codo. Switching him to the other hand he retrieved Podo and held the two ferrets up to his face, smiling at them. "It seems you two are causing trouble even when you're not seen." he teased them before turning them to show her. "Codo and Podo. They are my friends." he said. Turning Codo back towards himself sharply he just shook his head. "Not yours." he warned then looked at her. "He likes your jewels."
