He stepped forward again, still intent on watching the demon machine peel off down the street. Shaking his head, he gripped his staff tighter and backed up a little. Every instinct he had told him that he was having some kind of dream. That this...place..wasn't real. It couldn't be. Even in his wildest imaginings he couldn't create anything like this place, whatever it was.
Tensing when he heard the footsteps to his left he gripped the staff even tighter. In his pouch, chattering could be heard and he lowered one hand slowly inside to stroke the little furry creatures. "Shh." he muttered. When the footsteps drew closer, Dar turned and readied his staff only to see a small woman. Tilting his head a little he furrowed his brows again. "A car?" he asked. "Is that what it is called?" he fired another question at her. Taking in a deep breath he glanced back in the direction the 'car' had gone then in a show of good faith pulled his staff apart and flipped each piece up and behind his back settling them into their places. "I would not know how to go about breaking them." he said calmly. "I think I'll just stay out of their path." he admitted.
He folded his arms over his chest and watched her. Her hesitancy caught him off guard slightly. "I did." he nodded. "Could you tell me where this place is and how I might get home?" he asked. "I have to admit I am-" he paused and nearly jumped out of his skin when a much larger 'car' zoomed passed at high speed. His head whipped around and he blinked.
