Re: FIRST DANCE – Dean & Claire;
Dean's thoughts weren't far from hers as she sang the words to the song. The subject of her 'gift' was something of a sore point with him. While he knew it was important for her someday to join him in whatever afterlife was possible for people like them, the thought of her dying, even hundreds of years in the future, wasn't something he liked to consider. He could still remember too clearly what it had been like to hear the snap of her neck and to know, without a doubt, that Claire was gone. Still, he didn't think the gift would be like that, he hoped it wouldn't...
Seeing the wake of his own mother's death had showed Dean that sometimes people were just meant to leave the world together. Granted, John Winchester had two boys to raise, but there never had been any thought of him moving on, of actully living rather than following a course of revenge blindly. He didn't want that for Claire either.
Deciding that thoughts of death that would hopefully occur in the far, far distant future were too dark for such a miracle of a day, Dean determinedly banished them. Claire had his love for as long as he was around to give it, and he had hers. Anything else was a bonus.
"You're gorgeous." He said gruffly, meaning more than just her in the dress. He loved her singing, he loved her smile, he loved her.
