Re: Sam and Faith! Because he can't stay away!
It would have kind of sucked if Sam hadn't caught on to what she was doing in time. The thought alone struck him as both horrifying and funny. Bad, because Faith falling would inevitably mean she'd be hurting herself and Sam certainly didn't want that. The funny came from the naturally unexpected element of her taking such a tumble, since it was obvious that she expected for him to prevent it from happening. It would have been purely accidental, of course, but funny all the same.
She'd probably kick his ass for getting amused at that. Sam grinned, one arm going around her shoulders. He didn't pull her upright. Instead, Sam leaned forward, holding her in her half fallen position just as the men in the movies themselves did. "That was some impressive swooning right there. I almost feel compelled to kiss you." He leaned in even closer. "In fact, I think I might." Sam didn't much care that they had stopped in the middle of the floor, where everyone else was dancing. He pushed his mouth to hers, smiling against her lips. This was practically innocent compared to what they did when they were on their own.
