Sam and Faith! Because he can't stay away!
"You know that I love you, too." Seeing her happy was the highlight of his entire day. In fact, it had been the highlight of his entire week because there was simply nothing better than being able to make the people that Sam Winchester loved happy. Sam had been a lot closer with Faith than anyone else lately; surely they hadn't picked up the broken pieces that they were trying to slap back together, but they were sure as hell trying and in doing so Sam was beginning to feel like they were finally getting somewhere. They had talked. They had argued. They had reached some level of understanding. Faith was giving him that second chance that he definitely didn't deserve and he hadn't let it go to waste. He wasn't going to. Sam would never claim that they were right again, but he was happy to say that they were better than they had been in a very long time. They could only go up from there. Sam didn't intend on letting their relationship move in any other direction.
He didn't often dance, but it was Faith's birthday so he was more than happy to offer. It was all a part of making sure that she had a good time. Plus, the way she was moving...well, Sam couldn't deny the idea of him having a good time of it as well. Sam happily let her lead the way, grinning at anyone and everyone who might have bothered glancing at either of them as they worked their way to the floor. When they got there, Sam was a bit slower on starting up with the dancing than Faith was. He was focused on her, watching as she began to melt right into the music like it was the easiest thing in the world. Sam really wasn't the best dancer in the world himself, but he knew enough to keep himself from looking like too big of a bumbling idiot.
He didn't know how long that'd last with Faith dancing like that around him though. Ugh, he wanted to drag her off somewhere right then and there. But that was probably what she intended, wasn't it? Faith was teasing him as much as, if not even more than he had been doing so before himself. It looked like she had declared war on him. What else could he do but try to fight back?
Silently, Sam moved forward, hands reaching for her hips. He tried to move with her, following the rhythm that Faith had taken up herself. "It's a little unfair, almost," Sam said softly, looking at Faith in the eyes, "I said I'd be thinking about you all night. But I've already been thinking about you all day."
