It was good to see, it really was, Sarah decided. Faith was the sort of person who didn't put much open stock in bouncing and 'girly' things, but the emotions that were behind those kinds of actions were good for everyone to have. And Faith, more than most Sarah could think of, desperately deserved to have one of these bright points in her life.
Lowering her voice similarly, Sarah's tone was teasing. "Second, yes, but I think you're working it best of all."
Looking out over the crowd briefly, Sarah returned her attention to her friend. "Do you have a birthday wish in mind?" She held up a finger, mock scold. "And not the 'get to thirty' wish, because we all know you're going to make it."
