Re: Sam and Faith! Because he can't stay away!
"Ah, you've underestimated her," Sam replied, grinning a bit. "She's quite sneaky. With a side of surprising. It's a tricky combination." Sam had always felt sort of uncomfortable with Kennedy, but the recent trip down Watcher lane had helped him out a bit with that. They weren't best friends or anything, but Sam was sure that he understood her a little better. He wasn't sure if that was because he had been programmed to during all the crazy or if he had learned something during his time shouting at the Slayer in British. Maybe he had simply learned both ways.
The greatest boyfriend ever. Not exactly true, but Sam wasn't going to argue it. Not tonight. Faith was smiling and happy. There was no way that he was going to bring affair talk into their evening. "It was nothing," he said, steering Faith back a bit as Xander scuffled by with a plate stacked high with food, "you'd have done the same for me."
Sam grinned a little at the mention of the bet that they had made. It seemed as though they had that conversation only yesterday. "I got you a cake, too," he said, laughing, "so I totally went through with everything I said I was gonna do." Twenty-five, still alive. Damn, that would have been a great party theme. "And I knew that you'd make it. Always did. You're strong." He paused, that smile on his face slowly spreading wider when Faith whispered talk of prizes into his ear. "Now that's just cruel," he laughed, head ducking in embarrassment. "You know what I'm gonna be thinking about for the rest of the party now, don't you?"
