Sam and Faith! Because he can't stay away!
Sam had to give himself a little bit of credit. He had managed to steer clear of Faith for more than ten minutes. Admittedly, the only way that he had managed to do this all was by organizing things and ensuring that the food table was running properly, but he had still managed all the same. Sam had initially worried that he was going to end up crowding her when everyone else clearly was there to see and have a good time with Faith, so he was doing his absolute best not to make sure that he gave everyone else a chance at harassing the birthday girl. Sam knew that he would have Faith all to himself later that night when the party was over. Just the two of them alone, where he'd sit her down and give her the presents he had got for her properly.
Sam was definitely excited for her. He wanted Faith to have fun and he wanted to guarantee that she did. He had no doubt about everyone else being able to make sure that Faith laughed and smiled and had a good time, but Sam was honestly a bit paranoid about it. Faith had endured a lot lately and he worried about it. He worried about her. This night off would be healthy. It had to be, right?
When it looked as though most everyone had gotten a turn with her, Sam eased his way back to her side. Wrapping an arm around her, Sam offered her the beer bottle that he had picked up for her from the bar on the way over. "Having fun?"
