The offer to help was appreciated and it showed on Claire's face as she accepted the woman's offer, happily and gratefully. She'd planned to handle this part herself, not liking to ask people to deal with all the ridiculous wedding details, but the offer was genuinely appreciated.
And, of course, Claire didn't know about Sharon's hiding plan in regards to the wedding. The wedding reception was wedding celebration to her, true, but it was also a chance to offer people she knew a night of food and fun times, a change of pace from the daily 'grind' of the part of the city pulled here for this war. That desire in mind had motivated the inclusion of people she didn't know very well by virtue of being allied with those she did know, and to her, this situation was certainly no different. Not that she was going to push, of course, but with Sharon offering to help her, there would be an invitation extended before all was said and done.
"Are you staying here, with your daughter?" she asked as she divided the stack in half to each one was made up of an equal weight and height of boxes.
