"Awesome dog," Ben declared with a definite nod, the statement genuine. Just because he had a big dog didn't mean he couldn't think little dog weren't pretty awesome too. And back closer to the bench, large tail whipping around like a helicopter, Jack not only treated the offered hand to a sniff, but also a bath as Ben watched, amused.
"Ha, he's bigger than a lot of people, even really badass ones like Faith and Claire," he said, nodding briefly to the corner of the park Claire was currently occupying, probably keeping a definite eyes on him. That's what everyone did. "And he's only gonna get bigger than this."
Nudging Jack's face away a bit – the puppy still did not grasp the concept of wing man at all, he really didn't, and Ben wasn't about – Ben offered his hand to Ed, making sure it was the one opposite her not-licked hand if she wanted to scrub that on her clothes. Jack wasn't a Saint Bernard or anything, so no epic levels of slobber, but still, Ben knew puppy slobber was not exactly favored by all.
