Drenched, Sam turned to find a woman approaching him. She was safely tucked away underneath an umbrella with a phone clasped in her hand. Sam pushed some of the damp hair out of his eyes and squinted off at her. She looked familiar. Where had he seen her before? Sam nodded at her, but he didn't try to reach out for the phone. With the way it was raining down on him right now, he didn't want to risk getting it wet. Glancing around, he spotted an archway that had a sort of plastic and metal combination stretching out from it. A few people could be seen taking shelter underneath. It was crammed up pretty tightly, but it looked like the only way that Sam was going to get out of this rain without having to travel even further for a building to hide in.
"Over there!" Sam said loudly, trying to talk over the heavy rain. He nodded toward the arch and started walking toward it, all the while attempting to recall as to who the woman was. He definitely knew her from somewhere. Did he help her out at his old job or something before? Maybe he had seen her in passing? Sam didn't often remember most people he looked at while just walking around the city. It seemed strange that he would with this woman.
When he got to the arch, he offered some of the people already cowering underneath it an apologetic look as he, too, crammed himself inside. It didn't help that he was pretty large compared to some of the others, but what else was he supposed to do about it? It was bigger and better than an umbrella and he wasn't trying to stand out in that mess only get sick from it all.
