Spike wasn't standing too far from where Ruby had nearly smashed her orb to bits and pieces. Arms folded across his chest the vampire tilted his head to the side momentarily to examine the demon before giving her a shrug, sniffing, and moving over to one of the nearby shelves. He picked up a funny looking amulet, turned it over in his hands, then peered back over at Ruby curiously. They weren't best friends. Spike didn't have best friends. Yet what little he did know of her was interesting enough. Demon. Fucked up in the 'oh, I'm gonna end the world' kinda way. Was also going for the redemption angle, even if she didn't seem to be faring all that well. He didn't often cruise the boards, but sometimes he'd see her begging that Winchester boy for attention. It was sort of pathetic. If she had any self respect, she'd tell him to fuck off and worry about that redeeming thing. Unless she wasn't going for redemption now?
Slapping the amulet back onto the shelf, Spike picked up another object. It was a funky looking candle of some sort. After sniffing at it, he found that it held a scent similar to blood. Hmm, appetizing.
"Gonna tell me what's got your nerves going all haywire or shall we carry on under the charade that I'm a customer, you're the shopkeeper, and we don't give a damn about each other one way or another?" It wasn't entirely untrue. Spike would live with himself fine and well if Ruby wanted to keep herself shut away. He was merely curious. Also, he didn't exactly want for her to go crazy again. If she did, there was a chance that he'd have to get out of bed to help everyone clean her mess up and Spike didn't want to do more than he already had to.
Fucking L.A. and it's chaos.
He tipped the candle to the side, considering it. A regular vamp would want to buy one of these to lure in a hot date. Obviously not human, but likely hot nonetheless. It would have been the perfect thing for him when he was still rooting for the evil folk. Spike didn't hang around vampires much nowadays though. Besides, he was only here for the usual herbs and roots that he could mix into his blood. Magic shops were the only places that were good for it.
