For one brief, shining moment, everything had gone according to plan. Amitiel was typically a realist - there just wasn't much room for optimism when you were seeped in nothing but the pure, unfiltered Truth - but even she was finding herself growing hopeful that this plan of theirs was going to work out without any issues whatsoever. Then the Doctor's sonic screwdriver overshot its mark and managed to scan her as well. Sucking in a sharp breath, Amitiel's eyes widened in realization of what was likely to happen but, before she could call out a warning, it was too late.
As the situation went from bad to worse in less than a blink of an eye, she didn't even think about what she was doing. She simply reacted. Relying on her insurmountable strength as an Archangel, she grasped the mummy by the shoulder and yanked him backward. The movement served in jostling him off his feet and sent them both into the wall on the other side of the hallway. Ignoring the feeling of plaster giving way beneath her strength and the slight spike of pain that shot up her spine as flesh she was still unaccustomed to having to protect was bruised from the pressure, Amitiel next shoved them both forward and into the wall beside the Doctor.
An instant later the mummy went limp in her arms as it was knocked unconscious. Sliding her hands under his armpits, she lowered it to the ground, slowly rose back to her feet, and brushed the dust and dirt off the front of her shirt. Her eyes, even bluer than normal as that was a side effect of using her abilities while in her human form, slid back to the Time Lord standing a few feet away. Absently, she smoothed her hair back into place and tucked a few loose strands behind her ears. Casually, as though she hadn't just taken out a creature twice her size in less than three seconds with nothing more than a few well-aimed shoves, she said simply, "I'm sorry. Now that I think about it, I probably should have offered to do that to start with."
