Who: Pepper Moonchild and Indiana Jones. What: Destruction has a kid...sort of. Commence awkwardness. Where: Pepper and Des's flat. When: Afternoon. Rating: TBD, but probably not too high. Status: In progress.
Pepper had decided that Papillon, for all the weirdness inherent in being kidnapped to an alien world because they were all apparently anomalies of themselves, was a pretty boring place. At least, back home in Tadfield, she'd had plenty of things to do. The only saving grace of this place was that Adam, even if he wasn't her Adam, was here. He was generally a good source of Things to do. The word was capitalised in her mind because the Things Adam came up with were not the things normal children came up with and, as she was not a normal child herself, that suited Pepper just fine.
Pepper had also decided that her actual reality was stupid. Growing up without her dad around, with just her mum and a stupid little sister who was blond, and therefore clearly not related to Pepper, wasn't something she ever wanted to experience. No, she would take her actual reality any day. She'd even take this weird place, where her father was a woman, over that. Really though, Des was a pretty cool lady, and she didn't mind having her for a mother. Sort of. Her actual mother was back home in Tadfield, but Destruction was her parent, no matter the universe, and she didn't feel right calling the lady 'dad'. That was a bit weird even for her.
She was flopped on the floor of the living room of their flat, reading a book while she waited for Des to get home from wherever she was, or for Adam to come by and relieve her of her boredom, when there was a knock on the door. Marking her page, she got up and opened the door, knowing even as she did that it wasn't Adam. He had a presence to him that most people just didn't. "Hi," she greeted the blond who was standing there. "Are you looking for mum? She's not here right now."
