Who: Lily Potter, Remus Lupin and Severus Snape (with bonus Harry Potter) What: Yet another new arrival to Papillon. At least she's got a friend here. When: This morning Where: The street near the arrival room Warnings: None for now, probably child-friendly
Lily was not easily rattled. She was a Gryffindor, a competent witch and an independent-minded young woman. Kidnapping of herself and her son had always been something she'd been prepared for. After all, hostages were an easy way to gain an advantage on the enemy, and she wouldn't have put it past the Death Eaters to snatch a woman and child in order to leverage themselves over the Order. And it would have been so easy, too, to goad James and Sirius into doing something remarkably stupid to get her back. Of course, Severus and Remus would have been just as enraged, but they would have been smarter about it.
This, though? Being dumped in a city that didn't look like any part of England with a strange Muggle device and a note that made absolutely no sense - it definitely wasn't Death Eaters, they never would have lowered themselves to touch something made out of plastic. They also wouldn't have told her to "relax" or "build a life." Psychological tactics of this sort were a bit much for those lunatics. And putting her in a room with an open door? Never.
Her confusion was only somewhat assuaged when Severus answered her garbled message. Those tiny keys were too hard to manage, particularly when dealing with a three-year-old who did not understand where they were or what was going on and wanted Mummy to find a park so they could go play. "We'll go to the park later, sweetie. Right now we're waiting for Uncle Severus, all right? And he'll take us somewhere nice." Or an assigned flat, which would have to do. Merlin, she was ready to kill somebody, and she wasn't particularly picky about who.
