"This will give me all the procrastination I need," Jake agreed with his trademark happy grin. Of course, they both knew he could always provide what procrastination he wanted, but this was in a different realm.
"Oh, what, you mean one less reason for us to go terrorize the locals?" he asked dryly. It was far too easy for him to make fun of the locals, really.
"I barely survived," he admitted dramatically, tossing his duffel down out of the way and flopping on the couch. "My step-sister came home." In fact, she was already here, and he'd have to admit it to his roommate eventually. He'd told Nick some vague things about her over the years--her tough guy routine, who she worked for, that sort of thing.
"Good to see you made it through too." His eyebrows had raised somewhat at the offer, but it pleased him as well. "Really? That would be great," he said.
