Arin hadn't realized that Ceara was expecting. That definitely explained why she was giving up teaching this course. "A baby--congratulations," Arin said genuinely, though babies were terrifying little creatures. Give her a gun and a mission any day. "I had an, ah, accident of sorts, so I'm still having to report in." And do rehab, but that was beside the point. She could manage just fine.
She sighed as well. "I should be used to it by now," she said almost woefully. She didn't necessarily consider herself beautiful--she'd been an awkward looking child and it coloured her self-perceptions--but she knew many found her attractive, especially from the chest down.
"Da. Jake is a student, a... sophomore, I believe it is called." She lifted one shoulder negligently. "I have not seen him much in many many years--my father, he was appointed to the US when Jake was only eleven, and I have not visited as much as I should have." No time for it, honestly.
