Arin had driven to the middle of no where. At least, that's what it felt like. Actually, she probably shouldn't have driven herself, but Jake was coming on his own and she couldn't wait to get away from her parents again. She was sore from the drive, from the healing of her injuries, but she refused to pull out the crutches in order to get from her new office to the office of one of her colleagues.
So she walked slow, quiet as always, and felt things stretch out a little before she arrived at the professor's office. She rapped on the door with her knuckles, hoping she hadn't come all the way for nothing. Her clothing was simple, dark, but she had a pleasant enough smile on her face.
