WEASLEY FOUND DEAD IN BURNED QUIDDITCH STANDS
By Betty Brathwaite
A mysterious fire burned down a section of the stands of the Hogsmeade Community Quidditch Pitch yesterday, shortly after noon. The firewizards acted promptly in putting out the blaze, and in their examination of the debris, found one body that was later identified at St. Mungo's as Charlie Weasley.
The fire and Weasley's death are considered circumspect as mediwizards found evidence that the victim had been subjected to the cruciatus curse prior to the fire.
More information will be released to the public as it is reported to the Prophet.
GRANGER FOUND IN HOGSMEADE
Hermione Granger, who was suspected missing after not showing to her new position at the Ministry's Department of Mysteries, was found last night in Hogsmeade and immediately brought to the emergency care center at St. Mungo's. She is currently recovering from some physical trauma, but was unfortunately left with no memory of what happened to her.
HOGSMEADE FALL FESTIVAL
Today is the first day of the Fall Festival. Organizers have stated that while they had originally considered postponing the festival due to the recent string of murders, they decided to go ahead with it for altogether new reasons.
"The reason for the festival was the defeat of Grindelwald, a man who had terrorized much of Europe along with those who followed him. The festival came to symbolize an end to that reign of terror. The wizarding community needs the festival at a time like this to remind them that evil can be overcome, and that even in darkness we must have hope."
