Who: Percy, Open to Weasleys (by birth or by affiliation) What: Coming to grips with the news about Charlie Where: The Burrow When: November 18, 7pm Rating: Bad language, etc. Percy stood outside the Burrow's back door where he could still hear the clinking of pots and pans in the kitchen as Molly busied herself with dishes to stop herself from collapsing in grief. Everyone in the family had been contacted once St. Mungo's had been able to identify the body found in the charred wreckage of the Hogsmeade quidditch stands.
Percy, however, still could not believe the news. How could Charlie be dead? Charlie who had taught Percy how to fly a broom, who had taken him swimming in the summer when they were young, who had helped during Percy's first year of Hogwarts when he had been warring between loving independence and missing home.
He leaned against the house's shingles, feeling numb inside. He wanted a glass of firewhiskey - Merlin, he wanted a whole bloody bottle - to help him deal. His only solace was that he hadn't been there to see Charlie die.
