Ros smiled at the girl's smile. Ah, poor thing - likely thought herself deeply in love. It wouldn't last, she was sure of it - it rarely did when actual love was involved. It was one of the reasons why she did what she did. A healthy marriage took far more than love, and that in itself wasn't even a necessity.
"A handsome bloke, I imagine. One who think himself quite lucky to have caught a lovely young lady such as yourself."
She took another sip before continuing.
"I'll give you a tip, just in case you ever find yourself in this kind of situation. If he should ever compare you to his mother, intentionally or not... take it as a compliment, as that's how he meant it. Don't... overreact." She winced. "It can get ugly, especially when magic's involved."
