The time Percy had taken to make himself presentable ( and Daphne thought it was an awfully long time for a man, really ), she had been sitting on the sofa, realizing how completely and utterly stupid this whole thing was. Just as she was going to head back to the floo to go home, Percy appeared and spoke. Drat, she thought bitterly but turned around quickly at his question. No one had ever really asked her opinion of tea, now she thought about it. Though that was because those who knew Daphne, knew she didn't even really like the beverage. The only time she had ever even used tea was for readings. Aside from that, tea wasn't something she had outside of when she as feeling ill.
"I don't drink tea," she answered absentmindedly. "And any which way for the eggs, I don't generally eat those either. Mother says they're fattening."
She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and shrugged. She felt awkward around Percy, she had been confident the other day, but now she realized she had let him see her in a vulnerable state. It was enough to make her want to kick herself in retrospect, but he wasn't treating her any differently. As soon as that thought crossed her mind, she realized he didn't even know who she was.
