Percy felt like shrinking away at her reaction. "I didn't say it's what I dreamed last night. In fact, I don't remember having said that I'd had any sort of dream last night, the night before, or last week," he finally said, stiffening with his old pomposity that always came up like a wall to protect his inner self.
"And for the record, they did come for us. We were in safe houses until I was five, as a matter of fact. It's not unusual that such would be a child's nightmare."
