Entry tags:!status: complete, ^date: november 16 2003, character: fenrir greyback, character: siobhan templeton

Characters: Siobhan Templeton & Fenrir Greyback
Setting: Forbidden Forest, Sunday, 16 November 2003, 11:34am
Rating: PG-13, though may have some language from Fenrir
Summary: Shiv's finally showing a little backbone, and it seems Fenrir respects that.

As she was pushed back to the cave, Siobhan tried to turn back to say something to Michael as she had heard something come from him, but she couldn't understand it. Fenrir had chosen that moment to push her ahead of him, however, and she couldn't get anything back to Michael after the sheet fell back into place. She and the head werewolf were left alone together, again. She was starting to feel a little more comfortable around him, and she was almost sure by then that he wouldn't hurt her, especially when the others weren't watching. He kept talking about family, and how the pack was her family now, or that it would be after she was turned. He had seemed to want her to trust him. He seemed to want her stay even after she was turned, and he had to know that would only happen if she wanted to.

"That wasn't the deal. I said I'd stay, if you let him go. You're not letting him go." She surprised even herself as she spoke and walked over to the fire to try and warm up again. She had no doubts that out in the weather her lips had already started to turn blue. It was way too cold to be living outdoors, at least for her and she generally tried to stay as close to the fire as she could be without actually being in the flames.

Fenrir gave her a nice little shove when they entered his cave, then took a moment to throw another log on the fire. It seemed fairly warm in there to him, but she kept acting like she was cold, so he figured he wouldn't die if he sweat a little, but she wouldn't freeze to death at the same time. She was rediculously thin and small, and he'd realized the day before that she might require some extra work to keep alive out here. He had a ruck sack in one corner of the cave that he'd sent one of his boys out for earlier while he was stalking the Brown girl, but he hadn't had a chance to go through it yet and see if the supplies he'd requested were accounted for. Not that he doubted they would be, because if they were, that bloke out there wouldn't be the only one getting a fiery branch to the face today.

He grabbed up the ruck sack and opened it, looking inside and grinning a little to see that everything was there. Before he started to pull things out, he turned to respond to the girl. "I said I'd let him go, I didn't say when that would be sweetheart." As far as he was concerned, he'd just agreed not to kill him, that was about it. "And the boys didn't promise anything, just me." It was a nasty twist, but that was just the kind of person he was. After getting that straight, he reached into the sack and pulled out a fairly thick blanket and tossed it at her. There was also a little camping cook set, with a stand, pot, and fork. He pulled those out and dumped them on the ground next to her. "I noticed you didn't seem to care for raw meat. You can cook it if that will make you eat so you won't starve to death. That would be unfortunate, and I'd have to go out and find myself another girl to drag back here." He smiled, half mean, half not so mean.

She still wasn't facing him when he told her that he didn't say when he'd let Michael go or that the others hadn't promised anything. She crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head at the flames of the fire with her jaw set. It was something her father had always told her she got from her mother's side. When she was angry, she took on this silent, but scary persona. He said it was something all Latin women could do, and that it always scared the bloody hell out of him.

Then she noticed the movement and turned just in time to catch what he was tossing at her, and it took her a minute to realize it was a blanket. Did he seriously just toss her a blanket, like he knew that she was freezing to death in this bloody cold? "Wh- Why?" Then he confirmed it when he took out a cooking set and told her he'd cook her meat for her if that would mean she'd eat it. She noticed what he said about dragging another girl back here if she decided to starve herself to death, and she didn't doubt that he would, but there was something about what he was doing that made her raise an eyebrow at him. She didn't really understand what was happening. He'd said he wouldn't hurt her, but now he seemed to be taking care of her.

"Why?" he responded to her question. "Because it would be a set back if you died, and a bloody waste of my time. I said I wouldn't kill you, that includes not letting you just die." He set up the cook pot over the fire and threw in one of the hunks of meat he'd had saved back there for her. It sizzled on the heat, but Fenrir doubted he'd be able to cook it to her liking. He hadn't cooked anything in a very long time, probably the majority of his life at this point.

He poked at it with the fork, flipped it a few times, until it started to turn a brown color, then pulled the pot off of the flames and set it on the floor so it could cool, because it would have to serve for a bowl as well. "That will have to do," he said, pulling out a cigarette and leaning back into the wall to watch her eat.

That was when Siobhan went into a small rant in Spanish. She was used to the people around her not quite understanding her when she did that. It was usually that the either didn't understand the words, or they couldn't keep up with the speed at which she said them. "Yo no entiendo esto. No quiero comer. No me importa un bledo la manta. Quiero que deje ir a mi amigo. Te voy a matar si haces daƱo a ninguno de mis amigos. No digo que no puedo hacerlo. Voy a encontrar un camino."

She dropped her arms from being crossed over her chest and walked to the opposite side of the cave. She was angry with him, and she wasn't going to be the obedient, scared little girl she'd been since he'd brought here there. He was hurting her friend, and she couldn't stand for that. If she was anything, she was loyal to her friends, and if that meant he'd get angry with her and break his promise to her, then that would be what happened.

Fenrir didn't speak Spanish per se, but one of his pack mates when he'd been younger had spoken it, and he'd picked up enough to get the basic idea of what she was saying, which stoked the fire of his anger. Maybe he had promised not to kill her, but he didn't want her to just think she could do whatever the fuck she wanted to either. It was clear a few ground rules needed to be set, so he stood up and walked towards where she had moved to.

He grabbed her shoulder roughly and spun her around, then back handed her, knocking her over. "You listen here, I might not kill you, but you have to stay in line or I'll stop keeping my boys from you, and I don't think you'll enjoy their idea of 'fun'." He litterally growled at her. "Eat your fucking dinner or I'll stuff it down your throat." He stalked back to the other side of the fire and leaned against the wall, lighting another cigarette as the first one had been dropped in his anger.

Siobhan barely caught herself with her hands before her body hit the ground after he'd hit her. She didn't make any noise. She wouldn't give him that. It hurt, but she tried her hardest not to react to it. She sat there for a bit, watching him with a look on her face that should have told him she wanted to kill him. Slowly and carefully she went back over to the fire. The side of her face clearly showing in the light of the flames to be turning a dark shade of purple very quickly.

She still didn't really want to eat, but she had a feeling he wasn't bluffing about stuffing it down her throat, and that would not be pleasant. He could even accidentally kill her that way if she forced him to do it. She reached over and picked up the pot, which had cooled significantly since her rant, picking up the meat inside with her fingers and tearing off a small piece. "I thought you wanted me to stay after." She said quietly. Her muscles had become tense again, wirey, almost as much as they had been before she'd thought he wouldn't hurt her, but she wasn't going to be scared and silent. "I say what I think. I can't really help it. I wasn't born with that filter. If you still want that, you should get used to it." Still in that quiet voice, but still defiant, even after what had just happened.
