Theodore Nott ([info]fiadornott) wrote in [info]pandorarpg,
Theodore watched Percy carefully, trying to ascertain the level of fear he was projecting. Of course the Senior Undersecretary would have to be quite skilled at keeping a lid on his emotions at times, but Theodore would like to think that he was at least somewhat skilled at reading people.

"Well you and those around you are quite fortunate in the whole matter that there is an actual treatment for this curse. However, it isn't by any means easy nor is it without significant risk to both you and the Curse Breaker who would be carrying out the treatment--which I assume would be myself." Theodore was quite aware of Percy's brother being a Curse Breaker, it was a small enough profession. This was why he went to the trouble of finding a legitimate and obscure curse that would match Percy's perceptions instead of trying to make something up. "The odd thing about this curse is that it does not pose any significant risk to those who actually bear the curse. So the alternative is that you continue to live with the curse and it continues and accelerates."

"To treat it I would have to do is to magically detect and sever ties of misfortune that link you to others. It would take no less than a couple of hours of meticulous spellwork, of course with regular breaks as one little mistake can have severe consequences."
