Percy had been going over work ever since the owl from Nott in an attempt to calm his nerves, but had managed to get very little done. It was with great relief that he welcomed the young man to his office. He stood up to close the door and spoke a word to activate the privacy hexes that ensured no person or thing - up to and including paintings and Extendable Ears - would overhear the conversation. Ever since working under Pius Thickness, he had been more than a little paranoid, and the idea that he was suffering from some unknown curse had made it all the worse.
"Thank you for getting to me immediately. I had suspected the curse to be rather unpleasant, but your owl made it sound much, much worse. Though how much worse it could get than threatening the life of the Minister, I don't know." He motioned to the empty seat across his desk and moved to sit down. "Please, have a seat. What have you found?"
