"I had another offer yesterday afternoon." And quite the offer it was, complete with meddling mothers and all. At least it turned out to not be completely useless. He really did feel as though pretending to court Astoria Greengrass could buy him some freedom from his mother. It wouldn't be entirely honest, but the whole thing was stupid anyway.

"And I didn't agree to not stopping by at all, you merely suggested that point. You also suggested that such a conversation was long overdue." Zacharias didn't think so. It had hardly been a week, and it wasn't exactly an urgent matter. "Not to mention if you didn't want me in your flat, surely you would have removed my access."
