Lavender set her book and breakfast down on the table so that she could shake hands and go through the expected pleasantries of meeting, or re-meeting someone. "It is weird, right?" She paused to take a sip of the coffee, grateful for the bitter taste on her tongue.

"I mean, last night, not exactly my normal brand of nightmare." Sure, it was something with teeth eating her, but it had never been Cornish Pixies before.
