Adrian chuckled as their food was brought out. "I wouldn't envy me were I you." He let the conversation regarding the unpleasantness fall by the wayside, and sipped his coffee. "Meanwhile I consider myself lucky I have only my mother's constant disappointment in me hanging over my head, and not the outrage of the rest of the family." Adrian had no siblings and he wasn't at all close to his extended family. The Yaxleys did not much factor into his life and he meant to keep it that way.
"As for the energy they muster, I expect they get it from the energy they would otherwise expend being productive members of society. If they're not doing that, they certainly have plenty of time to tell us everything we're doing wrong." Adrian turned his attention to his food and began eating.
