He wasn't sure if Luna would still be awake after he read what she had written. In fact, Neville had no way of knowing where Luna was at all, nor could he have known whether she was okay or not. Though he assumed she was, given she had taken a moment to write something at all. It was far too early in the morning, and all he could do was pace his small kitchen in his blue and green striped pajama pants. He had all ready spilled the water he had tried to make tea with twice, and his blue shirt was soaked near the bottom where he had used it to soak up a bit of the spillage. The boy clutched his wand tightly, debating whether to send his patronus or not. The thing could very well scare her more than the dreams had, still, he had to try.

Neville opened the balcony door and held his hands up as he thought his happy thought. This spell always did need a lot of room, though with some practice he had managed to make the polar bear much smaller if needed. It was still large, even at the smaller size, but it at least didn't fill his small apartment quite as much.

"Find Luna and deliver message," he said to the milky white polar bear that stood before him. The only dark spots on it were the eyes and nose, which when it tilted its head, made the bear look more like a dog than anything else. "I would feel better if you weren't alone tonight, please come over. The wards will let you apparate in."

With a flick of his wand, the mastiff sized polar bear went out the window. Neville went back to the tea he was trying to brew, but merely stared at the kettle in annoyance. He worried about his parents, their mental state if they could have these dreams...

Luna had just opened her journal, unable to determine what to say to her friends. She had never felt anything hit her as hard as that dream. It had broken through every emotional and mental defense she'd ever known. Nothing she had experienced had ever done that to her, not that she'd ever been disemboweled before. Still, she'd never feared anyone like that before, had never felt helpless to even retreat into her own mind.

She'd gone down to the pond near Rook Cottage. Despite the early hour, she felt calmer there, away from her father's sleeping form and bathed in moonlight. A warming charm had done its work well and she stared into the black reflection.

A light interrupted the darkness and Luna looked up to see a silvery flowing polar bear. It took the span of a heartbeat before her breath returned and she felt the warmth of friendship spilling over her once more. Standing up and pulling her wand from her hair perhaps a little belatedly she realized, she nodded and Apparated on the spot. No thought given to her state of undress, the frilly nightgown and bare feet.

A moment later, she was standing in Neville's flat. "Hello? Neville?" she asked, her voice quivering slightly before returning to its natural cadence.

Neville came out of his room with a new shirt on, this one a plain white shirt that he would keep away from the tea he had been preparing. His hands hadn't been able to stop shaking while he was trying to make the drinks, and so he just gave up. He realized when changing though, that he had a little smudge on his left shoulder. It hadn't been there before he went to sleep, and when he walked back into the big room of the flat that was his living room and kitchen, he was holding his shoulder.

"Hello Luna Lovegood," he said, being slightly taken by surprise. He hadn't realized it would take so little time for his patronus to find her. His initial shock wore off and he smiled lopsidedly for a moment. At first he wondered what she had dreamed about to make her write what she had. Had they had the same type of dream? "Would you like some tea?" Or a robe, he thought to himself.

Luna smiled slightly. "I didn't expect to surprise you. I could go if you like?" she offered before realizing he'd offered tea. "Or I could stay for tea. Thank you." She tucked her wand behind her ear and nodded once. Yes, she would stay. Something about his Patronus had led her to believe he needed her perhaps more than she had needed the reassurance of her own friends.

Her eyes went to his shoulder and she stepped toward him. "Did you hurt yourself?" She reached out to his shoulder with an ease born of years of friendship. "I hope it wasn't because of my entry. I probably shouldn't have said anything." When the light hit her hand, she paused and withdrew it, then frowned and lifted the skirt of her nightgown slightly to wipe off the top of her left hand. "Sorry, seems I got a bit dirty at the pond."

Neville watched as she tried to wipe the spot off her hand. He looked back and forth from the one on his own shoulder to her hand. Had they had the same dream? What was the spot? Did they have anything to do with one another?

"I didn't hurt myself in real life," he explained as he walked back into the kitchen and zapped his kettle with the wand he took out of his pocket. "But I had another one of those dreams, and I was hurt there. "

He wasn't going to make her tell him about her dream, or anything else that bothered her, if she didn't want to. For the most part, he wanted her to be there to have one less person to worry about. She comforted him just by being around, and as selfish as it was, he all ready felt so much better than he had just half an hour ago.

"Biscuits?"

Satisfied the spot was not dirt even if it didn't look like a bruise, Luna let her nightgown fall back to her ankles and followed Neville to the kitchen. "I'm sorry to hear that. Though I'm glad the injury isn't real. It would make things less enjoyable tonight." her words weren't quite as lilting as she'd intended them to be. "Biscuits would be very nice. I had a dream as well, though," her hands went to her stomach, "I'm not sure what it meant." A shadow crossed her face for the briefest moment, something very few people had ever seen.

She approached the table and set out a couple of plates and napkins. "Did we see a strange red-headed woman yesterday?" the question falling from her lips as easily as asking if he wanted milk with his tea.

Luna very rarely seemed unsure of anything, even with the things everyone else would dismiss or that she didn't thoroughly understand. Neville watched her out of the corner of his eye, confused about what had happened to her stomach in the dream. A few things went through his mind at first, none of which would have compared to what she might have really dreamed. He moved over with the teacups and the box of biscuits to the small table in the kitchen.

"A red headed woman," he asked and thought about the question. The only redheaded woman he could think of was Ginny, he had seen her a few days ago. It had been far too long since he had seen any other red headed women he could recall. Setting the items down, he opened the box of biscuits and tipped the box out onto one of the plates before he set one of the cups in front of her. "No... just Ginny. Do you want to tell me what happened in your dream, or is it something you don't want to talk about?"

She shook her head gently, soft curls catching the light. "It wasn't Ginny. I don't know who she was supposed to be. It isn't like my mind to play tricks like this." When she had nightmares, at least something about it made sense, something connected to her life. This had been completely foreign. As had the screams.

Luna stared into the empty cup, the sound of her own voice begging rang through her ears and she paled. The pain hadn't scared her, though it had traumatized her. No, the pain was something of the flesh, something that would either be or not be, but she had offered the woman anything.

Unable to voice her thoughts, she stood silent, eyes unfocused into the recesses of the china before her.

He studied her for a moment in silence. This was bothering her, and while her silence only made him more curious about what it was she had seen, he knew better than to pry. Neville chewed on his lip for a moment before he walked to the icebox and pulled a small carton if milk out. He poured it into her tea and dropped two cubes of sugar in it before he stirred it for her. There needed to be a change of subject, he decided, and took a deep breath.

"Wrackspurts," he told her after what felt to him an incredibly long silence. "We must have an infestation. Mutant ones, not regular ones. These don't seem like the regular kind, but it must be some sort of Wrackspurt." He smiled at his friend before he looked down and poured a bit of milk into his own tea.

Luna didn't precisely see Neville fill her cup or fix her tea, but when he suggested Wrackspurts, she blinked and nodded, the creases smoothing away. She smiled at him, her eyes no longer haunted. "I think that must be true. She sat down at the table finally, picking up her tea as she did so. "I'll be wearing my spectrespecs tonight. I've fashioned a mask around them. Perhaps that will help."

The tea was fixed perfectly drawing a smile from her lips. "We should try to figure out how to stop these Wrackspurts from getting worse." She tilted her head, her voice completely returned to the lilting cadence, "Would you like a pair of spectrespecs for tonight?"
