The dream Hannah was having would have left her with a sad longing whenever she awoke had Ernie's crying out not done so. She had been shopping for a wedding dress with her mother, something Hannah would never have the opportunity to do. Not that it was something she would likely be doing anytime soon.
As he woke, Hannah pulled her hand back from his shoulder. Something told her that keeping contact as he figured out where he was could trigger an adverse reaction seeing as she didn't know exactly what it was he had dreamt. She didn't even know exactly what he'd dreamt the night before as he'd not told her any part of the dream. It was likely he wouldn't do the same now. Hannah knew that he would keep it from her because he didn't want her to worry, but two terrors in a row started turning the divination gears in her head. Especially after seeing Bianca the day before and knowing that the other put more stock in dreams than she did any other type of divination.
"No," she debated whether to tell him the contents of the dream. Of course doing so would likely serve to just add to how freaked out he was. No bloke wanted to hear that a girl was dreaming about wedding dresses when he was obviously perfectly happy with where their relationship stood at the moment. "I was dreaming about spending time with Mum," would be the answer that would suffice. "I'm just worried about you," she sat up in the bed beside him.
