Anthony settled for making a face at Michael that he was perfectly sure conveyed just how he felt about that. He didn't think words were at all necessary for how he felt about it.
He wasn't exactly sure what he might've expected while he waited for Michael to elaborate on what he'd meant by it being not a very exciting meeting. Probably something about Lavender, or about the potion, or something, but that was still a shock. They weren't his relatives, not in that blood way, but Anthony had spent more than enough time around the Corner family that it felt almost the same as finding out about his own father.
"Shit, Michael," Anthony started, but paused as he didn't exactly know what to say next. He didn't know how to be the positive person in a conversation, especially when he wasn't actually feeling that way deep down. He frowned. "You're not...?" He didn't want to actually accuse Michael of losing hope or... whatever. It was just that he was sort of looking to him being positive enough for the both of them.
