His first words to her made her loosen the hold she had on her legs slightly. She wanted to believe what he was telling her. That her fate with this pack of werewolves wouldn't be death. She leaned back slightly and shook her head when he asked if she wanted a cigarette. That was never a habit she wanted to try or pick up. She looked at him for a few seconds. "What plans?" She was starting to find her voice again, choosing to believe his words that he wouldn't kill her, or let them do it. If that were true, then she would have a little room to question him.
When he started to speak again, telling her she'd never be found, she started looking around the cave at what she'd be living in. She needed to know her surroundings to be safe, to find a way out that he couldn't catch her. Something he said at the end caught her ear though, that this family took car of their own, so she looked him straight in the eye as she spoke. "Then let me go home." Finally finding a bit of the inner strength she'd learned from her grandparents in Puerto Rico.
