Jayne had been out of sorts for a couple of days now, refusing to speak to Pandora, and so the witch inside her had taken to calling out into her mind every time they passed by someone who could be killed for their memory. To say it was aggravating was a severe underexaggeration, but she didn't want to give in. She wanted some control back in her life.
"Oh, and there's another one with a little friend. We could have such fun with them, couldn't we Jayne?"
Enough! I'm tired of this! Tired of the killing, and the nonsense.
"Finally, she speaks to me. What you need is something to stimulate your mind, and I think it's about time I let you in on a little secret. But first, I need a memory back. Let's go after those two we just saw. I can kill the one, and then we can play with the other."
That's disgusting.
"You won't say that for long..."
Jayne could already feel the fight to take over her body, and almost petulantly, she retreated to allow Pandora control. It no longer even felt like her own body anymore.
With purpose this time, she moved to follow the pair that had just passed.
