He nodded in understanding, but inside he was screaming that it wasn't so simple, that there was so much more and what if she was killed... But he kept his worries to himself, seeing that she'd come to some sort of peace with the situation and not wanting to disturb that for his own selfish worrying.
Her touch and her kiss helped relax him, reaching into the most basic part of himself to bring him back to the here and now. He managed to smile, and even to laugh back, as she spread herself back out for him.
